Eligibility for Full Withdrawal
- Unemployed for 60 days or more (Form 19)
- Retired (after 55 years)
- Migrated abroad permanently
- In case of death (nominees can claim)
How to Withdraw Online
- Login to EPFO portal: unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in
- Go to "Online Services" → "Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D)"
- Click "Proceed for Online Claim"
- Select reason for exit and certificate
- Fill Form 19 (EPF) and Form 10C (EPS)
- Verify bank account details
- Submit with Aadhaar OTP
- Money credited within 3-7 days
Valid Reasons for Partial Withdrawal
For self, spouse, children, parents
Self, children, siblings (after 7 years)
Buy plot or construct house
Repay principal/interest
Higher education for self/children
Special non-refundable advance
Withdrawal Limits
- • Medical: Up to 6 months basic + DA or actual, whichever is less
- • Marriage/Education: 50% of employee's share after 7 years
- • Home: 90% of employee's share after 5 years service
How to Transfer PF to New Employer
- Login to EPFO portal with UAN
- Go to "Online Services" → "One Member One EPF Account"
- System will show all your PF accounts
- Click "Transfer" on old account
- Select current employer's establishment
- Submit request with Aadhaar OTP
- Transfer happens automatically (no employer approval needed)
Why Transfer is Better than Withdrawal

EPF Advance (Loan)
EPF advance is available for specific emergencies. Must be repaid through monthly deductions.

- • COVID-19 treatment
Documents Required
Tax on Withdrawal
- No Tax: If withdrawn after 5 years of continuous service
- 10% TDS: If withdrawn before 5 years (without PAN: 20% TDS)
- No TDS: If taxable income below ₹2.5 lakhs (submit Form 15G/15H)
