₹10,000 Fine

For not giving way to emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire engines, police vehicles) under Section 194E of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Amended 2019).

What Counts as "Blocking"?

🚫 You CAN be fined for:
  • • Not moving aside when ambulance has siren on
  • • Intentionally blocking emergency vehicle path
  • • Refusing to give way at intersections
  • • Following too closely behind ambulance
✅ You CANNOT be fined for:
  • • Being stuck in traffic with no room to move
  • • Emergency vehicle without siren/lights
  • • Genuine physical inability to give way
  • • Ambulance not on emergency duty
